Technology Architect for a services project which aims to deliver a
secure, single point of access system complete with client management
capabilities. The approach will be to migrate 100% of the existing
access terminal clients of inquiry services to a secure extranet access
delivery channel. The candidate must have extensive experience in the
wireless industry and will serve as a subject matter expert on
implementing wireless solutions.

This assignment requests the service of a Wireless Technology Architect
with at least five years of related experience, to play a key (expert)
role and to provide technical advice and strategies involving wireless
technologies and opportunities. The candidate must have a demonstrated
ability to manage vendors, write detailed specifications to be used in
the tendering process, and manage the vendor selection process. He/she
will work with the Project Director through to implementation

Throughout the duration of the wireless procurement and implementation
initiative, the Wireless Technology Architect will work closely with a
number of other teams involved with this rollout.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
. Enable the introduction, integration and use of technologies across
the wireless platform;
. Develop and document a detailed statement of requirements for the
proposed wireless system;
. Collaborate with users to determine content, data processing and
capacity requirements, user access levels, software and hardware
requirements;
. Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures
and decision flows;
. Conduct technical feasibility studies of proposed solutions in order
to evaluate the technical issues and options of the proposals as well as
the technical impact, costs and risks to the project;
. Develop technical architecture designs to meet specific project
requirements while adhering to standards and overall direction;
. Provide assistance to other team members for designing and managing
wireless architecture;
. Recommend and utilize technologies to secure data and ensure access
only to qualified users;
. Prepare implementation plans for particular technologies;
. Provide strategic technical guidance to other members of the team to
develop cross-platform wireless and mobile systems;
. Evaluate and recommend architecture design for wireless applications
using Java, C++, WAP, XML, HTTP, WebServer, TCP/IP protocols
