  • Open discussion: "Present ourselves as if we would after we've got our dream job everyday."
I remember over 5 years ago, when I went for the job finding trainning, the first thing the instructor said was: dress up as if you were going to work in the morning, then start the day of job searching. I did that, and found my self-esteem shot up higher immediately. I don't know how long this would work because I found a job in a couple of months.

I am a firm believer that if we want to be treated as professionals, we would have to feel and act like professionals ourselves. It is "mind over matter". Let's keep up the positive attitude and apply it in our daily lives!
    • In North America, people like to have a laid-back lifestyle. If everyday we dress up and are uptight, we cannot enjoy the lifestyle.
This uptight attitude works for boosting self-esteem for sure. But on the other hand, good English speaking and communication skills are the two wings that let you really fly.
      • can't agree more :)
    • Ruoer, very well said!
      • Thanks. And I agree with "vista's" comment on laid-back lifestyle as well. The key is to dress according to the work environment, but always feel and act like a professional.
