If a company renewed NCIB program or is renewing, can we reasonably say that the company is confident in their share price? // Can we individual treat it as one of the signs to buy in?

i don't think so. renewing NCIB does not mean the Co will eventually excercise it, or, if they do, does not necessarily mean the buyback is due to confidence.

NCIB has exercise issue? I thought that only applied to stock option.// However, I agree with you that it should not serve as a buying sign since the corporation may have a much lower aggregate purchase price.
