VM issue has been solved. But, VPN problem still exists. Need experts to help on this topic.

I'm a VPN/Network dummy. The VPN router (Linksys RV042) has been setup. Currently, I can access my entire network including my home PCs and laptops thru VPN client . -sapblue1(ED); 2009-5-6 {449} (#725@56)
I understand that we can limit the VPN accessing to certains virtual servers only and I have also been told that the SAP end-users don't need to use the VPN to access the SAP server as long as certain ports on the router are opened. But, I have no idea how to set these and my friends won't have time for me 'til end of next week. At this moment, the easy way for me to solve this VPN issue is to get another line from the cable company :-).

not sure how to set up linksys router...but if cisco you can set up access list to only access the sap server IP address. -wince(玄色); 2009-5-7 (#752@56)

Managing the environment may not be that easy...I have similar systems: VMWare ESX / guest systems, multile SAP systems/web portal/zOS emulator...Stable hardware/power is the first thing to think of.....Here is my lab

Personally I think setting up VPN is a wrong direction. Normally SAP users even Basis don't need VPN. For Basis, an SSH port is enough, or the ESX port; for the other users, 32xx,33xx port should be OK. -j30(AIX/ORACLE/SAP讲师); 2009-5-7 (#758@56)
