No consultation. You will have a list of registered officiants offered by province and you can call one after another to negotiate the price if you do not like the fixed whole package including the appointed officiant like the one in Toronto City Hall.

Marriage certificate has long form and short one with the short one cheaper. You need it for insurance or claiming certain benefits only for spouses.
