Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Stayed in October, 2017.  The cost for 3 nights was NTD $5200 ( CAD $216; $72 per night).

Before we arrived, I asked a couple questions to the hotel via email.  The response was reasonably prompt and helpful.

This hotel is located just about one kilometer away from the Taroko Visitor Center.  It's by the main road, so rooms facing the road are noisy.  But those facing the other side, the river, are quiet and with a good view.

It was raining for the first three days of our stay.  The hotel provided free umbrellas.

The owners were friendly and helpful when we asked about trip arrangement.

There was a spinner on the roof.  Guests can hand-wash clothes and dry them with the spinner.

The room was spacious.  No hot water on the first night due to a water shut-off, but it worked well after that night.

Breakfasts were tasty and healthy, with quite several dishes.  However, in the last morning of our stay, they breakfast was significantly simplified and very un-impressive.  The owner didn't make enough dishes as she thought there were not enough guests.  That's why my rating is 4.5 only, not 5. :)
