Ok, I see. During my two visits in Lao, I visited 4000 Islands, Vientiane, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang, but not Thakhek, even not heard of it, seems a nice place to visit.

I'm travelling from the South to the North. Many people use Thakhek as a base for visiting Khong Lor Cave, which features a 7km long river in it.
