Jeepney is an economical way for local people, also good for hot climate. Tricycle is awkward to ride. I'm too tall for it.

  • Getting some tropical heat in February

My first meal, at the Grand Bus Station of Batangas, Philippines.  The taste is good!

What kind of transportation tool is  this?

After 2 hours of bus, 1 hour of jeepney, and 20 minutes of tricycle, finally I see this peaceful place by the sea.

    • I'm the only guest in this resort!

      • Enjoy the empty and quiet resort! 😁 +1
    • Sunset, moonset....

      At Anilao, Philippnes.

Jet lag is not always annoying.  You can get up early at 3am for yoga, also witness moonset.

      • You are so energetic!
      • Hahaha, is the moon in Philippines more beautiful? Have you eaten Tang Yuan and celebrated the Lantern Festival there?

        • yummy...
      • Not many people can catch the moment of moonset, but you got it! Good job!
    • Enjoy! So jealous of you!! +1
      • I envy you too! Saw your notes about your Japan trip. :p
        • :D
    • Now I believe that you love Philippines more than Canada 🇨🇦.
      • Nope... but at least, smoking pot is not legal in the Philippines.
    • Today Toronto is warmer and quite comfortable. Sunny, blue sky, white clouds, not windy at all. +1

    • Transportation is always a pain in the butt in the Philippines.
      • That's true. However, the pavement is quite good. Concrete roads to very remote villages.
        • But transportation in Palawan is really bad, many no paved roads, it's often bumpy and dusty all the way on roads. One day, I had a flat tire on the way back from a day trip on El Nido Island.
It happened in the middle of nowhere in a jungle and it was completely dark already. I got a little bit nervous. Luckily the tricycle driver's brother lived not very far from there and managed to get the tire replaced eventually.
          • Wow! BTW, the infrastructure in Manila is really pathetic.
    • Sailor, did you enjoy the local transportations such as jeepney and tricycles ? Did you suffer significant noise and dusts from them? 😄

        • You have gained a variety of travel experiences.
          • Standing on the bus for 1.5 hours

            • Wow,
not easy! I guess there must be someone or something very attractive for you to see at the distination of this trip. Hope you will feel very satisfied with the whole trip eventually. From the photo I saw a standing passenger wearing a yellow T-shirt with Rolia logo (the smiling flower)alike. Is that you? 😁
              • Obviously that's me! :D
            • I guess either their transportation has issues, or that area is too crowded. Right? Or maybe the area is very popular? I think the good thing is that you can see more people, better than too quiet. 😄
              • There are lots of people in the Philippines, in general.
