Have you ever just thought about going to see a beautiful waterfall. Maybe just to look, or have a little dip, or maybe spark something that might not be there. Well some of us may not get to see one because of where we live, but theres nothing wrong with trying to go. Waterfalls after all are one of the most marvelous things on this beautiful earth. From the big falls that are beautiful to look at, to the small ones that are fun to jump off of, they all present beauty in it’s own way. So weather you have plans to go visit one with your family, or just take your spouse for a fun time, here are some waterfalls to keep in mind.

 

1. Iguazu falls

Iguazu falls in my opinion is the most beautiful waterfall in the world. Sitting on the border of Argentina and Brazil it stands 197-269 feet tall. The river part of Iguazu falls runs through Brazil and the falls are in Argentina, so either side you’re on you get to be amazed. The meaning of Iguazu is Water, which makes sense since it is such a big body of water. With the width of the falls being a long 1.7 miles. It has 275 different falls that are made into Iguazu falls so you are bound to find the perfect one for you.

2. Niagara Falls

Niagara falls is the most well known falls in the world, but who doesn’t know about it. It sits on the border of Ontario, Canada and New York, United states. Niagara falls is composed of three they are Horseshoe falls, American falls, and Bridal veil fall. The Horseshoe fall is in Canada, while American and Bridal veil falls is in America. Niagara falls produces about 4 million cubic feet of water falling over. The fall is 167 feet tall, making you insane to try to jump over, not saying that people haven’t tried.

3. Hanakapi’ai Falls

Hanakapi’ai Falls is located on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Its not a very known waterfall mainly because in is hidden. To get to the fall you need to walk through a trail that is around 2 miles long. On the bright side the trail starts at a beach, so if you don’t like trails you can still have a fun day. The fall is 300 ft tall making it a larger fall than Niagara falls, so if you do think about diving off you might want to rethink.

4. Plitvice Lakes

Plitvice Lakes is one of the most breath taking bodies of water in the world. Being the oldest national park in south-east Europe, it is Croatia’s most popular tourist attraction. The waterfalls are based on upper and lower levels, with the upper levels being taller than the lower levels. It is made up of 16 Crystalline (made of crystals) lakes that merge into each other. On top of having all the rivers on top of the lakes they also have underground rivers.

5. Seven Sacred Pools

The Seven Sacred Pools also known as pool of ‘Ohe’o is located in Hawaii on the Island of Maui. It is a series of waterfalls and calm pools that flow through the  Gulch and into the ocean nearby. It is easy to get to and attracts a lot of swimmers and cliff divers. From my personal experience it’s a great place to go with friends and families to hang out.

6. Yosimite Falls

Yosemite falls is located in Yosemite national park of Sierra Nevada, California. It has a three series of waterfalls totaling 2,425 feet, making Yosemite the sixth largest waterfall in the world. That means there is absolutely no attempting to jump into the water. The top fall is the biggest fall totaling up at 1,430 feet. If you enjoy hiking and want to see the top part of the fall it is a 3.5 mile walk to the top.

7. Angel Falls

Angel falls is located in Venezuela. It is the worlds highest waterfall, it stands 3,212 feet tall. Angel Falls is one of Venezuela’s top tourist attraction, the falls are located in an isolated Jungle.
