就是说从你申请得到积分卡号的那天开始你将可以在7年内使用此卡。但是条件是在这7年当中，你必须让你的卡保持active的状态，也就是说你至少每年使用一次你的aeroplan number ,这可以是买机票，加油，购物，只要跟aroplan有合作关系的任何一家公司你都可以使用并且积分。

I applied the card in 2001, and got a new one in 2006 (if I remember correctly). Does that mean after 2013, the current one will be replaced with a new card? If so, how about the remaining balance on the current card?
