  • Hiking at the Olympic National Park

Started the hike early in the morning, when the sun just rised up.

Grand Pass is our destination, but what I pointed to is not the side we were about to start.  It would be the side that we would came back from.

When we were high on the ridge, there were no tree.  But there were lower in the valley.

When you see clouds in the sky, probably they are from here!

"Oh no... It's so scary!  I could not walk through..."

The color of fall can be from the ground too!

It was late in the afternoon when we headed back.  Clouds deposited in the valley, like a river.

    The moment just before sunset.

    • There is always a debate about whether you should choose sea/river or mountain if you can only pick one.

After checking those Juan de Fuca pics, I thought I had an answer until I see these. Now I’m hesitant, the good thing is that I don’t have to make a decision in this case, I guess I will check them out, both. smiley

      • I would say that water is a key factor. Mountains without water are not fun. :) Water brings the livelihood to the nature!
        • Agreed 100%.
