1. Taiwan started restricting flights from China on Jan 26th and enforcing self-quarantines for citizens returned from China. Tourists with Chinese citizenship are barred from entering Taiwan.
2. To ensure masks supplies, Taiwan banned the exportation of masks on Jan 24th and started rationing masks on Feb 1.
3. Any foreigners that have been to China in the past 14 days are barred from entering Taiwan stated from Feb. 7
4. All foreigners are barred from entering Taiwan on March 19th. All residents returning from overseas need to self-quarantine for 14 days

Despite being China’s neighbor, Taiwan has only 329 cases right now. The main reason for Taiwan’s success is the Taiwanese government didn’t care about being called xenophobic and restricted Chinese and foreigners from entering the country. The mandatory quarantine couple with masks rationing helped to stop the virus spreading within the country.
