Your donation is delivering help and hope to people devastated by the earthquake in China.

Thanks to your generous support, Canadian Red Cross has provided 7,250 urgently-needed tents for survivors. The Canadian Red Cross has also supported the Government of Canada’s deployment of 700 additional tents to affected communities.

Canadian donations are being used to support the Red Cross response, which has included 103,000 tents for affected communities and the distribution of relief supplies to over one million survivors. In addition, two Red Cross water and sanitation teams are working to provide clean drinking water daily for over 30,000 people.

In the long term, Red Cross efforts will focus on the construction of health centres and schools, along with permanent homes for about 2,000 families.
