Application Engineer, Product Validation

Description and Responsibilities
Peraso Technologies, Inc. is actively seeking an applications engineer within our Product Validation team to support the development of mm-wave radio transceivers and systems. The successful candidate must have recent experience in the following: Technical customer support, software development and product validation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Field Application Engineers and product managers to qualify and support customer’s use of the Peraso solution
• Write targeted end-customer test plans and test cases for any supported platform
• Troubleshoot customer issues and provide detailed technical support, both remotely and on-site
• Add/modify tests in the validation tool framework
• Provide general technical training to support engineers and sales engineers when needed
• Create product demos for tradeshows, plug fests, and other events occasionally;
• This position may require some travel within North America, Asia and/or Europe.
Technical Skills:
• Understand different networking protocols (UDP, TCP, 802.11 an asset);
• Work in an Linux and Windows environment comfortably
• Programming experience with C/C++
• Knowledge of any scripting language is an asset
• Experience in automated test tool implementation and use an asset;
• Familiarity with standard data exchange technologies (e.g. XML, JSON) is an asset
• Comfortable working with IDEs (e.g. Visual Studio and/or Eclipse)
Non-Technical Skills:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (Fluent in English)
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently as needed
• Experience working in a fast paced environment dealing with multiple projects simultaneously
Experience/Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar;
• 6+ years of experience in a high-tech engineering environment
